(after you're done reading, go listen to this. i mean REALLY listen.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0lxArRBIh0
let's talk about change,
and uniqueness.
well, not really talk.
cuz..it's only me typing.
but yeah.
uh,
..i guess, just read..
i'm sure you've had that time in your life,
where all you wanted was to stand out, to be different.
it's nothing, right?
just a little harmless wish.
but what if it isn't?
like, what happens when you're too unique;
when you're busy trying to be different, you often lose track of who you honestly are. ♥
people don't change.
they can. but they DONT.
+ that's the way it is.
but, to be honest, i dont think i'd like it any other way.
i like that people don't change.
i mean, if they did, we'd all spend our days asking ourselves if we can trust Jared Loughner.
and we'd take all our thoughts up wondering what our hypothetical best friend Larry is into this week so that we can get him a really up-to-date-on-his-interests birthday present.
something he'll truly cherish, forever. not something he'll throw out in a week's time.
you see my point?
we don't want a world where horrible people are thrown 2nd and 3rd chances like candy is thrown at a parade.
+ we don't want a world where your bestie Larry-Bear is the kindest person one day, and bam, and axe murderererer the next.at least i don't.
i mean, there's nothing to stop someone who's constantly a different person from chopping you in two with their brand new axe.
yeah, i know. a little extreme, but hey. it's me.
plus, i'm trying to get a point across here.
everyone wants something they don't have, a characteristic, or a trait, or SOMETHING,
and those changes and characteristics may seem like they're so great and absolutely to die for.
but there still are the consequences!
for example, your best friend Larry killing you like it's no biggy.
for example, your best friend Larry killing you like it's no biggy.
okay, so the whole getting my point across thing is obviously not working, cuz 23947% of what i'm typing doesn't make the slightest bit of sense.
so i'll just come out and say it. the point i'm trying to make is:
next time you wanna give not being yourself a try,
think about all the changes you're making that aren't the least bit like your real personality.
i promise you, all those changes.
they truly are to die for.
